My Path to Purpose Introduction

I want to share a story with you—a bit of my journey, which took some unexpected turns.

For years, I wore the hats of a psychologist and small business owner, diving deep into the world of training managers and helping HR departments navigate change. But here's the thing: I felt like I was running in place after all that time. Something was off despite the workshops, the meetings, and all the strategies we rolled out. It felt like we were all just playing pretend to make things better without touching the heart of what needed to change.

It was this weird realization that although leaders talked a big game about wanting to evolve and empower their teams, when it came down to the nitty-gritty, there wasn't much appetite for the kind of change that would shake things up. It was all surface-level—a game of appearances.

And it hit me hard. I was pouring my heart and soul into this work, only to see it fall flat because the commitment to significant, meaningful change wasn't there.

This aha moment was my wake-up call. I found myself at a crossroads, feeling stuck and disillusioned. But instead of letting it defeat me, I took it as a sign to embark on a personal transformation journey. I needed to step back, re-evaluate, and dig into what I believed in, what I stood for, and how I wanted to show up in the world.

So, I dove headfirst into a process of self-discovery, peeling back the layers to understand my core values and what kind of leadership I truly believed in. It was challenging. It meant questioning many of my assumptions and confronting the comfortable patterns I had settled into. But through this process, I stumbled upon something powerful—a different way of leading that resonated with everything I discovered about myself.

This new leadership style is about authenticity, putting values front and center, and building genuine connections. It was about creating spaces where people felt empowered to bring their whole selves to work and where change wasn't just a buzzword but a lived reality.

Adopting this approach felt like coming home.

I'm more committed than ever to this path as I continue to evolve and grow personally and professionally.

So, here's to the unexpected turns, the tough lessons, and the beautiful journey of growth and change. I'm excited to see how your leadership path evolves as you take the leap.

Thanks for being here and sharing this journey with me.
